Social skills and emotional empowerment will allow them to succeed, rather than fail in their life’s journey.  This type of learning is complicated with our student population and often occurs over the course of a few years.  Most of them need to participate in the program over time to find success as they work through their challenges.  That’s why the space that we have created at The Meeting House is so life-changing for both the children we serve and their families.

Every donation that you make is matched dollar for dollar, up to $25,000, by a very grateful parent … that means every dollar counts twice to meet our goal of $50,000!

In order for our students to reach their potential, The Meeting House is as essential as reading and writing.  And now the verdict is in!
A growing body of research studies now prove that social and emotional skills will increasingly play an important role as young people progress into adulthood.  These so called “soft”, non-academic and non-cognitive skills, once hovered outside the realm of public accountability and they are now linked to increased academic performance, decreased anti-social behavior and positive mental health. increased academic performance, decreased anti-social behavior and positive mental health.

All of this wonderful work requires financial resources.  Can I count on you to join us to ensure that every child, no matter what his or her unique differences are, has a place where they can tap into their potential and soar to new heights?  Please make a tax deductible donation to The Meeting House, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

“I think what makes The Meeting House so unique is that the kids are all learning social skills, but they’re completely unaware that it’s “therapeutic” time and they just have fun. Unlike traditional social skills groups, The Meeting House is just a wonderful community of kids and grown-ups who have a great time together learning how to build meaningful relationships.”    — Mother of 9 year old girl from New Jersey
