This month at the Meeting House we introduced the children to the intersection of storytelling, film making and technology. Using the application on an iPad for creating "stop animation" the children developed their own story line, based on a real life social issue of their choosing. Then using “minions”, lovable creatures from pop culture, they are designed a set, characters, story and resolution.
They started by staging a school cafeteria setting and explored the subject of inclusion and exclusion in the lunchroom and how it made them feel. This is doing what we do best at TMH, — coming together with creativity across a number of platforms to yield authentic problem solving and real fun all in one experience.
